Right, I see what you’re trying to do. Have you seen Replace the Multimedia Box with Four 175×175 Ads? I used images for that one. I put the images in my custom folder. Check it out and let me know if you get stuck.

Thanks I figure it out as soon as I posted the question. I just upgraded to thesis 1.6 and it's easier to customize than the earlier versions. Thanks for the videos.
